A massive 7.9 earthquake devastated the Chengdu region in southwestern China on May 12, killing 60,000 and leaving over 250,000 injured. The Wheelchair Foundation is focusing an effort to respond to this overwhelming devastation and we need your support.
With a history of providing more wheelchairs to people in China than all other organizations in the world (over 200,000 in the last several years), the Wheelchair Foundation is best equipped to provide mobility to those in need. In 2005, the Wheelchair Foundation delivered 1,000 wheelchairs to help victims in Tangshan, where a huge earthquake had killed 240,000 people twenty-five years earlier.
Through our strong working relationship with China Disabled Persons Federations, the Wheelchair Foundation has access to a well organized outreach to the physically disabled. We recently delivered 2,000 wheelchairs to the Chengdu region. We are preparing to send thousands more. We need your help to accomplish this goal. Become a part of this critical effort to provide support to the survivors in earthquake affected areas. Please donate now! Every £75 (Pounds) or €100 (Euros) donation will help a person gain mobility.

Each £75 (Pounds) or €100 (Euros) donation will be combined with funds provided specifically for that purpose and will deliver a wheelchair to a child, teen or adult without mobility, freedom and often hope. You will receive a beautiful presentation certificate, including a photograph of a wheelchair recipient along with a certificate giving the name of the country the wheelchair was delivered. The certificate can be personalized as a gift in honour or memory of a special person in your life, or to mark a special occasion.
