NGO's (Non Governmental Organizations) are the vital link between Wheelchair Foundation and the disabled people of the world. These good people identify the need and distribute the wheelchairs in their countries of operation.

Airline Ambassadors Airline Ambassadors International (AAI) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to helping children in need. Our members hand deliver humanitarian aid and provide medical care to children in more than 20 countries.
American Red Cross The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Children Without Children Without™ facilitates numerous projects, programs and causes that operate directly under and are affiliated with the organization. Each project, cause or program is unique in its own right but has a tie that binds – the mission of improving the dignity and quality of life for children and youth around the world.
Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) The Church has established Latter-day Saint Charities, an organization that distributes food, offers assistance during times of disaster, funds and encourages projects that benefit stricken communities, and teaches self-reliance.
Counterpart International Counterpart International is a non-profit international human development organization founded in 1965 as the Foundation for the Peoples of the South Pacific. We are headquartered in Washington D.C. and work in more than 60 countries.
Kham Aid The Kham Aid Foundation was founded in 1997 by Pamela Logan to support conservation of Tibet's architecture and art. Since its founding, she has developed a broad range of assistance programs.
Mercy Corps International Mercy Corps is a not-for-profit organization that exists to alleviate suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities.
Project Hope Project HOPE alleviates suffering, saves lives, and helps communities attain lasting improvements in health care. By providing health education and humanitarian assistance, HOPE is helping people around the world to live longer, healthier lives.
Sister Cities International In 2002, Sister Cities International and the Wheelchair Foundation embarked on a five-year initiative "Wheelchairs for Peace" to distribute wheelchairs to sister city communities throughout the world. The Wheelchair Foundation has committed a total of $4.5 million in matching funds to be combined with funds raised by sister city chapters to deliver wheelchairs to children and adults living with disabilities over the five-year initiative.
The Hope Alliance The Hope Alliance mission is to improve health in communities of need by setting up long-term, self-sustaining programs that will have dramatic, positive, lasting impact on the children and families in those communities. We provide medical clinics, train health workers and supply existing clinics and hospitals with equipment and supplies. We also operate clean water, educational and micro-business projects.
The Salvation Army The Salvation Army is an evangelical branch of the universal Christian Church. Its mission is both spiritual and practical, encompassing the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and alleviating human suffering and distress without discrimination.

Wheels for Humanity Each year in the United States, tens of thousands of wheelchairs are thrown away and end up in landfills. Over 300,000 are retired into attics, basements and back closets. Our goal is to put these discarded wheelchairs back into service.
